There are many reasons why women want to change the appearance of their areolas. Some need areola reconstruction after mastecomy. Others are unhappy with the color or size of their areolas. Women who have had areola reduction surgery may want micropigmentation to conceal the scars or restore the round shape.

A typical procedure will begin with a color patch test, to determine the color that is right for you. Then the areola in that color is applied to the breast. A second visit, 2-3 weeks later, is necessary to apply the shadings and structures that create a more realistic, natural appearance.
